A Beacon Hill client in the professional services industry, located in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a bookkeeper to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering strong stability and growth potential. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience across core accounting functions including AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger support. The salary range is depending on experience. Previous experience in a bookkeeper role is required.

Position Summary:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed

Technical Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience required
• Strong experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, and GL maintenance
• Proficiency in Quick Books or similar accounting software
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
