Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in New Jersey. This role is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage complex financial activities, uphold compliance standards, and strengthen the integrity of financial reporting. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with sound judgment to support accurate close processes, reliable controls, and continuous operational improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries with complete supporting records to ensure the general ledger remains accurate and well documented.
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheet and bank accounts, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items within established timelines.
• Lead key activities tied to monthly and annual close cycles, including accruals, deferrals, and supporting financial schedules.
• Review accounting treatment for a range of transactions and apply appropriate guidance in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls designed to support dependable financial reporting and compliance.
• Provide audit support by assembling schedules, organizing requested documentation, and addressing questions from internal and external auditors.
• Evaluate accounting workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process enhancements that improve accuracy, consistency, and productivity.
• Help draft, refine, and maintain accounting policies and procedures that promote strong financial governance and standardized practices.
