RoleThe Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax returns, providing tax planning and advisory services, and working directly with clients to address their tax and accounting needs.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and other entities.
- Research complex tax issues and provide practical, well-supported tax recommendations.
- Assist with year-end tax planning and identify opportunities to minimize clients' tax liabilities.
- Review financial statements, trial balances, and supporting schedules for tax return preparation.
- Prepare tax projections, estimated tax payments, extensions, and related calculations.
- Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, resolve questions, and explain tax matters.
- Manage multiple client engagements while meeting firm deadlines and quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of public accounting or relevant tax experience.
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S.
- Base Salary: $80-95k+, commensurate with experience.
