Financial Controller

Our client, a growing organization in South Jersey, is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Finance Controller to support financial planning, accounting, reporting, and operational finance initiatives across a multi‑site business. This role will partner closely with Accounting, Operations, and senior leadership to drive financial performance, oversee reporting, support month‑end close activities, and deliver meaningful business insights that support key decision‑making.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across multiple business units and locations.
• Oversee and support month‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership.
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and KPI reporting to monitor business performance.
• Partner with operational and sales leadership to provide financial guidance and support strategic initiatives.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance drivers.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure alignment between financial reporting and planning activities.
• Support executive leadership with presentations, business analysis, and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Drive financial visibility and accountability across a multi‑location organization.

• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Strong FP&A background combined with a solid accounting foundation.
• Significant experience with month‑end close, financial reporting, and business analysis.
• Experience supporting multi‑unit or multi‑location organizations.
• Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and KPI development.
• Experience operating within a B2B environment; multi‑site operational experience preferred.
• Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence operational and executive stakeholders.
• Experience presenting financial information and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Prior experience in a sales‑driven organization preferred.
• Private equity‑backed company experience is a plus.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.

This role is ideal for a finance leader who blends strong FP&A and analytical capabilities with hands‑on accounting and reporting expertise. The successful candidate will have experience supporting multiple locations, leading month‑end close and financial reporting activities, and partnering closely with operations in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. Experience in a B2B, sales‑driven organization and exposure to private equity‑backed businesses are highly desirable.
