Main Office Coordinator and Business Office Assistant
The support staff facilitates the daily operations of Camden Catholic High School. Interacting with parents, students, vendors, faculty and administration are crucial to the efficient running of the school. As the “public face” of Camden Catholic in many capacities, a good working relationship with each other, and a fidelity to the mission of CCHS is essential to a successful support staff.
Initiatives requiring teamwork and groupings of individuals will be determined by the supervisors as planning for initiatives requires such teamwork such as mailings, Freshman registration, Open House, and Graduation. The Main Office Coordinator and Business Office Assistant reports to the President.
- Greet all visitors to CCHS, ensure that they sign in, issue visitor passes, and monitor/forward sign in sheets
- Manages CCHS front office security operations via intercom and camera systems
- Answers all incoming telephone calls
- Answers questions and directs incoming communication
- Must complete soft-transfers prior to transferring calls to other offices
- Receives and distributes the incoming mail
- Assist with outgoing mail, deliveries, and the administration of any school wide event, mailing, etc.
- Monitors, maintains, and coordinates ordering for the supply room
- Operates, maintains, and monitors copy room, all machines, attendant technology, and supplies
- Coordinates “sunshine” activities for the school
- Assists in the organization of transportation documents and fields basic transportation phone calls
- Completes all raffle, licenses, and paperwork in accordance with state and county guidelines
- Monitor AP mailbox and print invoices as received
- Submit orders on behalf of other individuals with no PD access as directed.
- Submit orders as needed for business office supplies
- Receive tuition payments on behalf of families, give receipt, and give all cash/check to Business Office
- Make payments for tuition via credit cards and give receipts to families and Business Office
- Provide administrative assistant support to the President
- Other Duties as assigned by the President
- Practicing Catholic
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or as an administrative assistant (6 months).
- Must be flexible and able to handle constant interruptions and be open to helping other offices as needed
- Strong commitment to Catholic school education
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
- Ability to work productively and positively with staff, students, parents, alumni, and community.
- Willing to work school events in the evening and on weekends.
- Must be attentive to details and have the ability to manage several projects at once.
- Ability to work autonomously without extensive oversight or direction and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
- Excellent technological skills and ability to learn and become proficient in different computer programs
Main Office Coordinator and Business Office Assistant is a 12-month position.
Safe Environment clearances and official transcripts will be required before employment can begin.
As a religious organization, the Archdiocese of Camden is also bound by Canon Law and Catholic teachings. For this reason, there may be occasions when an employee’s failure to adhere to the truths of the Catholic faith are a factor in employment-related decisions. In the event an employee fails to adhere to, or takes a position publicly that is contrary to, Catholic doctrine and teachings, or any policy or procedure maintained by the Diocese, the employee may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

The salary range for the positions is $28,000-$38,000.
