EMSL is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I in Cinnaminson, NJ
. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.
- Receive environmental samples from in person customers and shipping carriers
- Open packages; handle, count, sort environmental samples to ensure sample integrity is retained
- Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness
- Enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system for all lab divisions
- Transfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locations
- Generate invoices and reports for clients as needed
- Assist with customer or client questions via in person, phone, and e-mail
- Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration
- Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Experience in administration, data entry, and customer service
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clientele
- Able to work in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit and stand for various lengths of time
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
Shift:
Position is full-time Monday to Friday 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
