Calabrese Construction LLC is a New Jersey-based General Contracting and Construction Management firm specializing in multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial construction throughout the NJ/NYC metro area. We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Superintendent to lead day‑to‑day field operations on active ground‑up multifamily and mixed‑use construction projects. This is a full‑time, on‑site role — the Superintendent is the owner of the field and the primary point of accountability for schedule, quality, and safety. The right candidate is organized, authoritative with subcontractors, and capable of driving a fast‑paced project from mobilization through TCO.

Projects are primarily located in New Jersey with some NYC exposure. Reliable transportation required.

• Own and drive the field construction schedule; maintain a 3‑week lookahead and coordinate daily/weekly trade sequencing
• Direct and manage all subcontractor activity on‑site — enforce scope compliance, quality standards, and sequencing
• Conduct daily site walks; document progress, open issues, and non‑conforming work with written logs and photos
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings; enforce milestone dates and flag schedule risks to the PM
• Enforce all OSHA safety requirements; conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident reporting
• Manage trade deliveries, material staging, crane picks, and site logistics to maintain a productive, organized jobsite
• Coordinate building inspections with the project manager; ensure work is ready and documentation is in place
• Review subcontractor RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings in the field; flag conflicts and coordinate resolutions with the PM
• Maintain as‑built markups and document field changes; communicate design conflicts to the design team through the PM
• Manage punchlist and closeout process — drive subcontractors to completion and coordinate final inspections through TCO
• Represent Calabrese Construction professionally with owners, inspectors, neighbors, and design team during site visits

• 5+ years of field construction experience with at least 2 years as a lead superintendent on ground‑up projects
• Demonstrated experience on multifamily or mixed‑use ground‑up construction (wood frame, podium, or concrete)
• Deep knowledge of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and the full project lifecycle from site work through TCOStrong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Proficiency in scheduling tools (MS Project, Procore, or equivalent); comfortable with digital project management platforms
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to NJ/NYC project sites

• Experience on NJ/NYC multifamily projects with DOB, CO/TCO, and local inspection processes
• Familiarity with NJ/NYC building codes, fire suppression, MEP coordination, and elevator/​façade inspections
• Experience managing superintendent‑level relationships with structural, MEP, and envelope subcontractors
• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and competent person designations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
