Collections Specialist

We are seeking a Collector/Claims Representative/Account Representative to join a growing revenue cycle team. This permanent onsite role, reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle and works alongside a team of four collectors. The position requires 1-2 years of collections experience, strong customer service skills, the ability to answer inbound calls promptly, and the capability to clearly explain processes and set payment expectations while creating a supportive, high touch patient experience.

Candidates should bring knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology, experience with both inbound and outbound calls, dual monitor proficiency, solid keyboarding skills, and a high school diploma or GED. Preferred qualifications include EMR experience (Epic strongly preferred), bilingual ability in English/Spanish, behavioral health experience, and familiarity with collections software, along with a strong sense of loyalty and alignment with company culture.

The work schedule is Monday 9:30-6 and Tuesday through Friday 8:30-5 with a 30 minute lunch break. Performance expectations include maintaining daily call volume, ensuring adequate account touches, and managing busier periods when letters are released, with direct guidance and support from the Director. Required Skills & Experience

• 1-2 years of collections experience

• High School Diploma or GED

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Strongly Preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA and basic medical terminology

• Experience handling both inbound and outbound calls

• Ability to work with dual monitors, Solid keyboarding/typing skills

• Ability to level set expectations and explain processes clearly
