Environmental Technician
The Environmental Technician is an entry-level role for candidates with 0 - 3 years of experience. This individual will support environmental engineering tasks across all phases of assigned projects under the supervision of a Project Manager.
Primary duties include:
- Perform and/or support environmental engineering design and analysis for a variety of projects including stormwater management, water/wastewater systems, environmental compliance, and site remediation.
- Prepare environmental permit applications, and other regulatory agency submissions, as required by project scope.
- Assist with environmental assessments, field investigations, data collection, and technical reporting.
- Responsible for scope, schedule, and budget adherence for assigned tasks.
- Routine field work includes oversight of drilling and soil excavations, groundwater, soil, and/or vapor sampling.
- Operate under limited supervision.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include:
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of software including, but not limited to Word Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Can effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and client reps during all phases of a project.
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks on schedule and within budget
- Excellent time management skills
Education/experience required:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Geologic Science, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
Physical demands and working environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Work requires frequent and prolonged computer use. May occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $57,000 - $75,000. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.
