Salary
: $92,000 – $151,800 annually
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (MEP) – Facilities to join our team in Cherry Hill, NJ or King of Prussia, PA. This position is ideal for a mechanical engineer with 5–15 years of experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
The successful candidate will oversee projects from concept through construction, provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for educational, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and support HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and educational facilities.
- Perform and review mechanical calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.
- Design and evaluate hydronic systems, chilled and hot water piping, ductwork, and mechanical equipment
. - Manage project schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, clients, and other disciplines.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys as required.
- Assist with proposals and contribute to department growth initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline required.
- 5–15 years of experience in mechanical/MEP engineering and design.
- Strong experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
. - Experience with hydronic piping, ductwork, equipment sizing, and mechanical calculations.
- PE license required or ability to pursue one.
- Strong project coordination and management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
