Join our multi-disciplinary service delivery team to provide community-based, integrated rehabilitative services to individuals with serious persistent mental illness.
Responsibilities- Fully integrated member of the PACT team who provides clinical assessment, service planning, wellness counseling, case management and associated documentation as required to meet client needs.
- Provides highly individualized services offered in individual and group modalities.
- Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-first language, respectful documentation, and person-centered planning.
- Actively monitor and assess the mental health status of clients and related variables, including significant others, home, and community.
- Develop substance abuse assessment, comprehensive assessment, and service plans focusing on substance abuse treatment needs.
- Provide mental health education, community living skill training, supportive counseling in home and natural environments, with special focus on substance abuse education and intervention.
- Deliver crisis intervention services for acute psychiatric needs using motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
- Participate in 24‑hour on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.
- Conduct outreach to newly enrolled individuals and encourage reluctant clients to accept services.
- Offer technical assistance and education to team members in co-occurring disorders, and develop materials and strategies for interventions.
- Provide training and supervision in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques.
- Offer in‑vivo training and supervision to PACT staff and orient new staff on PACT services and recovery-based interventions.
- Consult with other service providers and resource persons regarding assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation needs.
- Create, receive, and respond to all e‑mail correspondence promptly; e‑mail must be read once per work day/shift.

Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field plus two years post‑degree experience providing dual disorder services to individuals with co‑occurring serious and persistent mental illness and substance abuse. Must hold credentials required by the NJ Alcohol and Drug Licensing and Certification Counseling Committee (i.e., CADC/LCADC). All positions require a valid driver’s license in good standing and pre‑employment drug screening.
