Responsibilities

1. Manages, oversees, and conducts skills assessments in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP). Ensures that goals are person-centered, functionally relevant, observable, measurable, and regularly monitored for progress, mastery, and troubleshooting if progress is not being made.

2. Manages, oversees, and conducts behavior assessments, including functional assessment / experimental analysis, preference assessments, and treatment evaluations, to assess and treat problem behavior. Ensures the development of least restrictive, function-based treatments to decrease problem behavior while identifying and promoting functionally appropriate replacement behaviors and increasing other adaptive living skills.

3. Authors and supervises all behavior plans, including behavior plans with level III interventions.

4. Conducts all assessments and treatments per professional best practice, Bancroft policies, and the BACB's Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts.

5. Only delegates eligible tasks to Behavior Support Specialists or team members in accordance with NJ Behavior Analyst Licensure regulations. Identifies training needs of program staff members, and ensures that those needs are met. Develops and conducts training sessions to ensure staff members' ongoing knowledge and ability to implement behavior plans effectively. Monitors and evaluates the implementation of behavior plans by program staff members to ensure overall plan integrity and effectiveness and to identify if further training is required.

Ensures treatment integrity is monitored according to established Bancroft guidelines, which include direct monitoring and documentation of integrity through the completion of treatment integrity checks.

6. Depending on the program supported, provides on-call support for behavioral and/or staffing crises. Acts as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) for the program for the authorization of emergency restraints and other on-call responsibilities as needed to support the program in managing behavioral emergencies.

7.Serves as a behavior analysis expert to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and other programs, as needed. Provides direction to staff both within and across programs regarding the development and implementation of the ISP for individuals supported and has the authority to override the ISP and behavior plan, as necessary.

8. Provides professional guidance and expertise to the organization by serving as an active member of the Behavior Management Committee (BMC) as needed and assigned. Oversees the proper presentation of behavior intervention plans and emergency restraint data for the program to BMC or relevant committees. Ensures that the Committee's or reviewer's recommendations are addressed by the IDT or program. Completes out-of-committee reviews and observations, as assigned.

Presents to the Human Rights Committee (HRC) as needed.

9. Provides group and individual supervision to BCBA and BCaBA candidates as needed. Completes supervision modules through the BACB and maintains updated supervision qualifications. Supervises RBTs as needed.

10. Depending upon the program supported, conducts or oversees team screening evaluations and intake assessments. Provides direction and clinical expertise in facilitating transfers and transitions of individuals supported internally and externally, as necessary.
