Web Focus Developer

Overview

The NJ Judiciary is seeking a skilled, experienced and energetic consultant to develop and maintain WebFOCUS 8 reports and HTML user interfaces within the Web Focus environment. Responsibilities include evaluating existing reports, designing, coding, testing, production support, and collaborating with business and technical teams.

• Analyze user requirements for conversion projects.
• Collaborate with application teams on setting up users, data, etc.
• Identify and document system defects.
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Conduct independent design, prototyping, documentation, and participate in weekly meetings.

• Expertise in WebFOCUS 8, including report development, GUI, and output formats such as PDF, EXCEL, HTML, AHTML, and WORD.
• Proficient with associated technologies such as JavaScript and CSS.
• Knowledge of DB2, Sybase, SQL, and mainframe flat files.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external groups, including vendors.
• Ability to compare actual procedures to specified standards and procedures.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Business and system analysis skills.
• Ability to teach and convey technical concepts.
• Time‑management skills to develop appropriate work programs.

• Reports development using Information Builders Web Focus.
• User interface design / HTML.
• Dynamic parameter driven reporting selection criteria.
