Role OverviewData Center Technician. You will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure within our data center, working hands‑on with modern technologies such as the advanced H200 GPU cloud cluster. This shift‑based role may require occasional travel between data‑center locations and will be based in Vineland, New Jersey.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve issues related to IT hardware and ensure continuous support of the data center’s IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to address technical and operational challenges.
- Install, upgrade and dismantle hardware based on operational requests and requirements.
- Manage and maintain the connectivity of fiber optic cables and patch cords.
- Plan, execute and monitor regular IT tasks to maintain and improve IT infrastructure operations.
- Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) in compliance with established manuals and procedures.
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation and manuals for hardware configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including teams and executives; lead and manage specific workflows, projects, and monitor progress.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience diagnosing and resolving server hardware issues.
- Solid understanding of data center operations, server and network equipment principles.
- Basic proficiency in Linux and familiarity with command‑line tools.
- Practical experience with server IT hardware, enterprise‑grade network switches and fiber optic cables.
- Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, lists and graph creation.
- Proactive, responsible and goal‑oriented approach to work.
- Valid driving license.
- Project planning skills.
