IT Project Manager – Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP / HCM / EPM / FAW)

Our client in Northern NJ is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives across our Oracle Cloud Applications ecosystem — including Oracle ERP, HCM, EPM, and Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW). This role operates at the center of a multi‑team delivery model, partnering closely with internal technical and functional teams, business stakeholders, and external staff augmentation partners.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned project manager with hands‑on experience delivering Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM projects
, capable of balancing multiple work streams, vendor resources, and stakeholder priorities within a shared roadmap.

Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end project management for multiple Oracle Cloud work streams, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans and work breakdown structures (WBS), ensuring clear ownership, dependencies, and milestone tracking.
  • Develop and manage resource allocation plans across internal teams and external staff augmentation partners, aligning capacity with roadmap priorities.
  • Track progress using standard PM tools and produce regular status updates (schedule variance, burn rate, milestone dashboards, etc.).
  • Maintain active RAID logs, driving mitigation strategies and escalating risks/issues proactively.
  • Manage change control processes, assessing scope changes for impact on timeline, budget, and resourcing.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Serve as the central coordination point across internal delivery teams to align priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Partner with Finance and HR business process owners to gather requirements, validate design decisions, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders whose processes or data intersect with the Oracle ERP/HCM/EPM/FAW platform.
  • Translate business requirements into structured project plans and convert technical progress into clear, business‑friendly updates.
  • Tailor communication for diverse audiences — from working teams to executive sponsors.
  • Manage and optimize external staff augmentation resources, ensuring appropriate skill alignment across initiatives.
  • Support annual and quarterly roadmap planning, providing input on sequencing, capacity, and resourcing trade‑offs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, with a track record of managing multiple Oracle Cloud Application projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Oracle ERP and/or Oracle HCM implementations, enhancements, and support initiatives.
  • Hands‑on experience creating and maintaining core PM artifacts (project plans, WBS, resource plans, status reports, RAID logs).
  • Strong command of project management disciplines: scope, schedule, budget, risk/issue management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Proven ability to work with Finance and HR process owners to ensure technical delivery aligns with business requirements.
  • Experience operating within large or matrixed organizations across multiple business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and external vendor/staff augmentation resources.
  • Experience working within structured governance frameworks (steering committees, change control boards, formal status reporting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for technical and executive audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and coordinating across stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing Oracle EPM and FAW projects.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience managing external staff augmentation or managed services engagements.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies in enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting multi‑year platform roadmaps across Finance, HR, and Analytics domains.
What Success Looks Like
  • Oracle platform initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with strong stakeholder alignment.
  • Project plans, WBS, and tracking artifacts are consistently current and actively used for decision‑making.
  • Finance, HR, and cross‑functional stakeholders feel informed, supported, and confident in platform delivery.
  • Internal teams and external staff augmentation resources operate as a cohesive, well‑coordinated delivery unit.
  • Roadmap execution demonstrates strong traceability, minimal rework, and proactive risk management.
  • Executive sponsors have clear visibility into progress, risks, and upcoming decisions.
