Business Solutions Analyst
Long term contract opening in South Jersey. Role is on site 2 days a week. Must have sound knowledge of SQL to qualify.
The Business Solutions Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes end to end, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, and designing solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
The ideal candidate serves as a bridge between the business and technology teams. This individual works directly with business users to understand their needs, extract and vet requirements, identify process gaps, and formulate practical functional and technical solutions. The role requires someone who can understand detailed processes while also seeing the broader business picture.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze business processes across people, systems, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Work directly with business users to understand needs, pain points, and requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency .
- Design and document functional and technical solutions.
- Translate business requirements into solutions that can be implemented by development and IT teams.
- Partner with developers and IT leadership throughout solution design and implementation.
- Participate in application development, automation, testing, and implementation as appropriate.
- Create clear process flows, requirements, functional specifications, and solution documentation.
- Challenge existing processes and recommend more efficient and user-friendly approaches.
- Experience analyzing end-to-end business processes and identifying process improvements.
- Strong experience working directly with business users and stakeholders.
- Ability to extract, evaluate, and vet business requirements .
- Experience designing and documenting business or technology solutions.
- Required:
Strong SQL experience, including the ability to read and write SQL queries. - Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Technical knowledge sufficient to work effectively with developers and IT teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate in a hands-on environment and wear multiple hats.
- Experience in a small to midsized organization.
- Experience building applications or automation solutions.
- Equipment leasing or lending experience.
- Experience working with external customers or users.
The ideal candidate combines business process expertise with technical problem-solving skills . They can understand how a process works today, identify what is not working, determine what should change, and design a practical solution to improve it. They are equally comfortable communicating with business users and technical teams.
