Summer Intern, Digital & Technology, Cybersecurity

• Participate in a paid 10-week cybersecurity internship at Guardian, a global financial services company
• Monitor and analyze events from SOC intake sources including SIEM, ticketing systems, email, chat, and phone
• Conduct initial event discovery, triage, and response according to standard operating procedures
• Provide tier-one operational and analysis support for security incidents and outages
• Monitor security dashboards and process corresponding events
• Partner with team members and technology teams to resolve internal customer issues and remediate security issues
• Execute daily security technology administration functions
• Support cybersecurity governance and compliance activities, including assessments, control monitoring, policy maintenance, metrics reporting, and remediation follow-up
• Help safeguard Guardian customers' data, technology platforms, and infrastructure from cyber threats
• Learn about emerging cyber threats, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
• Work with leaders, mentors, and team members while developing a professional career
• Build a network with colleagues, interns, and other parts of the business

• Current junior graduating December 2027 or May 2028, or current sophomore graduating December 2028 or May 2029
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Available for the full internship program dates:
  May 27, 2027–August 6, 2027

• Familiarity with operating systems, applications, and security concepts in at least two specified cybersecurity domains
• Familiarity with security architectures and operating and troubleshooting principles of Microsoft Windows and Linux
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, network address translation, TCP/UDP connectivity, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, and related protocols
• Familiarity with cybersecurity governance and compliance concepts
• Interest in cybersecurity governance, compliance, detection development, and investigation
• Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• F-1 OPT holders requiring H-1B status, TN holders, and current H-1B visa holders will not be considered
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

Demonstrates a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, including familiarity with security architectures, compliance concepts, and operational support for security incidents. Capable of analyzing anomalies and managing multiple priorities while contributing to team efforts in safeguarding data and technology platforms.
