Nursing Assistant - Pre-op​/PACU Cherry Hill, NJ

Wills Eye Hospital is hiring a Nursing Assistant (Pre-op/PACU) in Cherry Hill, NJ at the Wills Eye Surgery Center - Cherry Hill, NJ.

In this role, you’ll provide age-appropriate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and best practices under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.

Full-Time 40 hours per week

In this role, you’ll support patients, providers, and clinical teams while helping deliver high-quality ophthalmic care. You’ll manage patient comfort and daily needs, vital signs and observations, patient safety, documentation, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

You’ll be successful if you enjoy working in a fast-paced clinical environment, have strong attention to detail, and value patient interaction.

• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, physical comfort, eating, and drinking, while observing patients for any changes.
• Record patient vital signs, routinely, or as directed.
• Perform 12‑lead EKG.
• Maintain competency in routine blood draws and patient specimen processing.
• Escort or transfer patients within the hospital as needed.
• Assist with discharge of patients and escorting them to their vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining unit cleanliness and equipment cleanliness.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) (required).
• CMA or RMA (required).
• Serv Safe (required).

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Course or equivalent preferred.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of clinical experience is preferred.
