Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant, PD, Neurocritical Care - Medic

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Neurocritical Care APP (NP/PA) to join the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center. The neuroscience flagship houses a 29‑bed unit for neuroscience patients and a brand‑new 12‑bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma, and spinal surgery.

The ideal candidate will provide 1‑2 shifts per month, working from 7 pm – 7:30 am or 7 am – 7:30 pm (12‑hour shifts). Weekends are not required.

The APP will provide advance practice care delivery in collaboration with Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical Teams. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, performing bedside procedures, documenting daily progress notes, patient/family education, and interdisciplinary meetings.

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS required
• ENLS Certification preferred
• 1‑2 years of experience in Neurocritical Care required
• Excellent communication and computer skills
