Full‑time Site Nurse Practitioner to join Cortica’s growing team in Warren, NJ.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments that incorporate the unique characteristics and needs of each patient and family.
- Triage referrals for acute needs to other members of the Cortica team.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care for each patient.
- Utilize the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving to practice within the scope defined by the State Board of Nursing, including placing orders and screening tests in accordance with approved protocols and guidelines.
- Provide ongoing education to families on topics such as autism, sleep, pill‑swallowing, sexuality, and navigating the school system.
- Provide nutrition evaluation and dietary support in concert with speech, occupational therapy, and the SOS feeding approach.
- Work with cognitive and behavioral child neurologists and pediatricians to manage attention, sleep, headaches, challenging behavior, medication, and medical follow‑ups.
- Knowledgeable in diagnoses and therapies for autism, ADHD, anxiety, developmental coordination disorder, speech and language delay, sensory processing disorder, headaches, insomnia, epilepsy, and other neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
- Minimum of 24 months pediatric practice in an outpatient setting (pediatric or family nurse practitioner), preferably behavioral neurology or Neurodevelopmental Medicine.
- Experience prescribing medication within a pediatric outpatient setting.
- Proficient in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluation.
- Current and unrestricted nurse practitioner license and/or certification required within NJ and ability to obtain cross‑state licensure as needed.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and office procedures.
- Salary range (DOE) $141,000 to $176,000.
- 5% annual bonus.
