We are seeking passionate, mission-driven Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a brand-new Psychiatric Stabilization Center designed to transform how individuals experiencing psychiatric crises receive care and support within the community. This is not a traditional inpatient psych environment. This program is designed to provide immediate stabilization, compassionate intervention, and meaningful support for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs — all while helping reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and improving community outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care and behavioral health support to individuals experiencing psychiatric crises
  • Perform nursing assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
  • Administer medications and monitor patient response to treatment
  • Assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation efforts
  • Collaborate closely with Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, Social Workers, and interdisciplinary staff
  • Support care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals to appropriate community resources
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure a safe, therapeutic, and trauma‑informed environment for patients and staff
  • Participate in development and implementation of program workflows and best practices
Qualifications
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Substance Use/Detox: 1 year (Required)
  • Inpatient Behavioral Health: 1 year (Required)
  • Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, Crisis, Emergency Room, Detox/Substance Use, or Inpatient experience strongly preferred
  • Passion for community mental health and serving vulnerable populations
  • Strong assessment, communication, and crisis management skills
  • Ability to thrive within a fast‑paced, evolving environment
