The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The Nursing Supervisor's major responsibility is the implementation of the mission, vision, philosophy, core values and standards of practice for all staff on office tours and weekends. Serves as a catalyst and role model, providing administrative leadership and direction. Responsible for allocating the available resources to promote autonomous, effective, safe, cost‑efficient, and compassionate quality care. Facilitates an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other disciplines, as well as with the healthcare community.

Required:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• 7–10 years of direct experience in the field as a licensed NJ RN
• BSN with 2+ years experience in a nursing acute care leadership role or must be enrolled in a BSN program in an NLN accredited school, completed within the first year of starting the CAC or Nursing Supervisor role
• Adult Critical Care and/or ED nursing experience
• Completion of all orientation requirements

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• National certification

• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association

The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for the acute care environment and must create learning experiences that are open and respectful, at the same time promoting the sharing of expertise. This ability to enhance the practice environment is critical to the recruitment and retention of all staff. The Nursing Supervisor contributes to organizational strategic planning, and is responsible for day‑to‑day hospital operations, implementation of standards of care, attainment of goals, and implementation of current evidence‑based practices.
