Maintenance Department Laborer & Mechanic – Wrightstown Borough.

Seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Maintenance Department Laborer/Mechanic. This position performs skilled maintenance and repairs on vehicles, heavy equipment, small engines and mechanical equipment used by the Borough Maintenance Department.

• Diagnose, maintain and repair gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and required safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate service, inspection and parts records.
• Duties include grass cutting, snow removal, solid waste collection, custodial work, storm response and other Borough operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and vehicle maintenance.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License in good standing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work indoors and outdoors.

Schedule:

The position requires overtime and emergency response, including nights, weekends and holidays, when necessary.

Compensation and Benefits: $21.80 to $23.50 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
