Reports To:
IDD Regional Operations Director
- Supervise multiple Group Home Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals.
- Frequent visits to assigned Group Homes; work primarily in group home settings.
- Attend meetings and work from North Brunswick Corporate office when required.
- Take rotating on‑call responsibility.
- Co‑ordinate and monitor the unit’s internal quality assurance system and needs.
- Assist the Administrator with development of services and oversight of the unit.
- Work closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication, provide feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite implementation of person‑centered plans.
- Provide shift coverage and problem solving with group home supervisors during acute shortages of direct support staff.
- Provide on‑call coverage for people supported, including services as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
- Years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible schedule and availability to provide on‑call coverage as needed.
- CPR, first aid, NCI and/or Med Tech certification, a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Regularly required to lift 20 lbs; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pull a minimum of 20 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision; must be able to talk and hear.
