Senior Java Technical Lead

• Lead analysis, programming, and configuration of end-user applications or systems software
• Develop strategy and roadmap for innovation and automation based on detailed business requirements and specifications
• Configure internally developed and commercial off-the-shelf applications using programming, scripting, and database languages
• Plan application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities
• Correct programming errors, respond to scope changes, and code application enhancements
• Maintain client relationships and communicate with IT and business management
• Monitor prompt response and support for technical issues
• Receive activity and progress reports for application systems analysis and programming sections
• Lead process improvements, cost reduction efforts, and tool development to reduce complexity and improve service
• Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals
• Influence business decisions and recommend operational strategies and plans

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 8 years of work experience required; 10 years preferred
• 5 or more years of hands-on programming experience in Java and Spring framework in production environments
• 5 or more years of experience building microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, deployed on AWS or containerized workloads
• Experience with relational or No
  
  SQL database technologies, including Oracle or MongoDB
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of developers delivering high-quality, scalable applications to production
• Experience with front-end development using React or Angular preferred
• Ability to research emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives preferred
• Ability to partner with business stakeholders to align goals and timelines, define solution roadmaps, and lead end-to-end delivery
• Application ownership experience
