Air Freight Operations Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Air Freight Operations Coordinator (b>export focused, import knowledge a plus) to support our growing air freight import/export business. This role is responsible for managing air export shipments from booking through final departure, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely execution while providing a high level of service to customers, agents, and airline partners.
Additionally import knowledge would be helpful for assisting in the coordination of clearance and delivery of air import shipments.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in air export operations, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of precision, communication, and deadlines in international logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end air export shipments from origin to departure
- Coordinate bookings with airlines, agents, and ground handlers
- Prepare and submit all required export documentation, including:
- Packing lists
- AES filings and export compliance documents
- Ensure shipments comply with all U.S. export regulations and airline requirements
- Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers and internal teams
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and warehouse handling as needed
- Resolve operational issues, delays, and discrepancies efficiently
- Communicate regularly with overseas agents and partners
- Maintain accurate shipment records in internal systems
- Support billing accuracy by reviewing operational details and charges
- 3-5+ years of experience in air export freight forwarding operations preferred
- Working knowledge of air freight processes, terminology, and documentation
- Familiarity with AES filings and export compliance regulations
- Experience working with airlines, GSAs, and international agents
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with forwarding systems (e.g., Cargo Wise, Magaya, Descartes, or similar) is a plus
- Experience handling time-sensitive, high-value, or regulated cargo
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently

Role will be Hybrid in nature, with 3-4 days in the office, and 1-2 days working remotely.
