Pay Range for this position is: $26-31/hr plus annual bonus, depending on experience and geographical location.

Position SummaryUnder the management of the Materials Manager, this position manages inbound and outbound shipments and maintains exact stock accuracy in an off-site facility. This role is responsible for checking and processing temperature-sensitive cargo, ensuring strict cold-chain compliance and taking ownership of inventory control. This position focuses on data integrity, product inspection, and stock system reconciliation without the requirement of physical truck unloading or heavy machinery operation.
PrimaryResponsibilities Include
- Accurately and efficiently process inventory receipts to ensure materials are available to support operational needs in a timely manner.
- Generate and verify inventory tags for received materials according to company procedures.
- Ensure all inventory is properly labeled and identified to maintain lot traceability and inventory accuracy.
- Verify quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and units of measure (UOM) before processing receipts and inventory transactions.
- Review and resolve discrepancies related to purchase order receipts, shipment documentation, and inventory records.
- Assist with distribution order transactions and investigate inventory variances between locations.
- Assist with the tracking, disposition, and destruction of expired or unusable inventory in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate the segregation and control of damaged, non-conforming material inventory.
- Monitor inventory expiration dates and support product rotation practices to minimize waste and inventory loss.
- Execute inventory audits by performing routine cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and spot-checks to ensure system accuracy matches physical stock.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, inventory control procedures, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain inventory documentation and records as required.
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements related to inventory handling and storage, adhering to OSHA and food safety protocols (HACCP/SQF).
- Perform other inventory control and materials management duties as assigned by Materials Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience, combining receiving verification and inventory control. Cold-chain or food logistics experience is highly preferred.
- No heavy equipment operation or cargo unloading required; position involves walking, standing, and inspecting goods.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, or database management terminals.
- Ability to work comfortably on your feet in temperatures ranging from 34°F down to
