Motor Mechanic

Location: Ottershaw

We’re looking to expand our team with a skilled Mechanic/Auto Electrician.

Key Responsibilities:

* Service, restore, and customize both classic and modern vehicles

* Diagnose and repair electrical issues across all makes and models

* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards

* Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional service

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a mechanic and auto electrician

* Strong knowledge of both classic and modern vehicles

* Ability to start immediately

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Duties

* Diagnose and repair automotive issues using appropriate tools and equipment

* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations

* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems

* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and assembly

* Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle

* Provide excellent customer service by communicating findings and recommendations clearly

* Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed

* Carry out equipment repairs as needed, including welding tasks when required

Qualifications

* Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive systems

* Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for vehicle repair

* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

* Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards

* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building rapport with clients

* Capability to handle heavy lifting as part of the job requirements

* Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory
