We are seeking an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of high-end kitchen equipment across our properties.
The RoleAs a Commercial Catering Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of commercial catering equipment
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across a variety of kitchen equipment
- Work on equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, hot cupboards, woks, and Rational ovens
- Source and order parts and materials as required
- Complete certification and job reports accurately (manual or electronic)
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders
- Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring work is completed to required standards
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Participate in shift patterns as required during client occupation
We are seeking a professional with:
- Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
- Strong experience working with commercial catering equipment
- Knowledge of Natural Gas & LPG systems
- Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and building regulations
- Ability to diagnose faults and work independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- A professional and supportive working environment
