The Office Clerk performs general office duties.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for accurate and timely filing, retrieval, tracking, scanning and maintenance of Cash Posting files
  • Sort, research, and note return mail in the system
  • Utilize computerized systems for scanning processes
  • Administer proper guidelines to arrange high volume attorney letters, bankruptcy letters, correspondence, and other indexed documents according to specific guidelines
  • Gather and index materials to be filed from department and employees
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to the Service Excellence Standards and Expectations at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center
  • Exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
  • Demonstrate courteous communication skills and an ability to work with others, exercising good judgment in the performance of job duties
  • Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and respect to others in adherence to the hospital's philosophy and policy for promoting a positive work and customer environment
  • Work as a team to continuously improve work quality
  • Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work schedules when it is necessary to ensure patient care
  • Present self in a positive manner as reflected by personal attire and etiquette
  • Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services

  • Minimum Required

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:

    1+ year clerical experience
  • No certifications/licensures required for this position.
