Job Description
Toyota Collision Center Experienced Technician – First Team Toyota Collision Center is looking for an experienced Automotive Body / Collision Repair Technician to join our team. First Team Toyota is part of the First Team Automotive Group of dealerships, a family‑owned, temperature‑controlled shop that offers an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Position OverviewRepairs and refinishes damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
Responsibilities- Repairs and refinishes vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs or parts needed.
- Maintains personal and shop tools and equipment in proper condition.
- Notifies management of any difficulties that may prevent a quality job or cause a change in promised time.
- Wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator.
- Complies with all laws and regulations concerning paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
- Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to body shop operations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right‑to‑Know.
- Operates all tools and equipment safely.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive collision repair experience preferred.
- Dealership collision repair experience preferred.
- I‑CAR certifications preferred: aluminum repair, replacement and welding; collision repair 2000; electronics for collision repair; finish matching; glass replacement; steering and suspension; and understanding collision repair.
- Ability to work on and repair multiple makes of vehicles.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ability to operate power and hand tools and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Acceptable safe driving record.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
