This role serves as the primary bridge between our organization, local government authorities, utility providers, and community stakeholders, ensuring seamless compliance, permitting, and relationship management throughout the project lifecycle.
Education and Experience Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project administration, permitting, or local government relations on industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial construction projects.
Essential Purpose of This PositionLS Green Link USA, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordination Manager to support the Genesis Project construction activities in Chesapeake, Virginia. This position will serve as the primary liaison between the company, local government authorities, utility providers, and community stakeholders. The Project Coordination Manager will work directly under the direction of the Project Director and will be responsible for streamlining the permitting processes, ensuring municipal compliance, and supporting seamless construction administration.
The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of local zoning laws and building codes, experience in public administration on large‑scale industrial construction projects, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with city officials, contractors, and project management teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Government & Community Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between the company and local municipality/city authorities, economic development agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Build, maintain, and leverage positive long‑term relationships with local government officials, neighboring businesses, and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate and facilitate town hall meetings, community briefings, and neighborhood alignment sessions as required.
- Streamline and track end‑to‑end permitting and zoning approval processes with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Manage critical project documentation, including contracts, official correspondence, compliance certificates, and meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with utility providers (power, water, telecom) to ensure timely infrastructure connections and site readiness.
- Support Project Managers in monitoring contract compliance, project budgets, and change order documentation.
Required
Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (verbal and written) to effectively bridge communication between headquarters, expatriate staff, and local US authorities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to identify potential permitting or regulatory bottlenecks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
Strong organizational and documentation skills for managing official correspondence and contracts.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy while navigating municipal workflows and community relations.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
