Position: Survey Manager (Heavy Civil Construction Project)
Description

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (). We are currently looking for a Survey Manager to join our team for a construction project in Norfolk, Virginia.

-Project:tunnel/ highway/bridge/structure

-Estimated duration of the position: 1 year - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Summary: This role will be primarily focused on structural works at the tunnel entrance and exit islands, rather than on tunnel excavation activities. The Survey Manager will oversee all surveying operations associated with the structural phase of the project, ensuring full alignment with project requirements, quality standards, and construction schedules.

-Responsibilities:
  • Overall management of the project's surveying department.
  • Planning, supervision, and validation of surveying works for structural elements (entrance and exit islands).
  • Coordination with construction, engineering, and planning teams.
  • Review and approval of surveys, setting-out works, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project tolerances, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Management and technical support of field and office survey teams.
  • Direct reporting to Project Management.
-Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Survey Manager in tunnel/highway/heavy civil construction projects.
  • Strong background in civil and structural works (bridges, access structures, marine or similar works).
  • Solid technical knowledge of surveying for heavy civil construction.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours. There is the possibility of working some Saturdays.
