Compensation: $76,956 – $115,434 base + annual bonus
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
We’re hiring an Estimator II to join a growing Design-Build commercial and DoD contractor with strong leadership, solid systems, and clear upward mobility. This role is for a hands-on commercial estimator who can step in, own bids, and contribute immediately.
This is not a junior role. You should already know how to estimate ground-up vertical commercial projects.
What You’ll Do- Independently estimate ground-up commercial projects ($1M–$20–30M)
- Manage 4–6 bids at a time
- Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, scope reviews, and leveling
- Own full estimates for smaller projects and scopes on larger ones
- Coordinate subcontractors and review quotes for coverage and risk
- Identify risk in key trades (MEP, fire protection, civil)
- Collaborate with PMs, design teams, operations, and executives
- Support buyout and scope documentation post-award
- Excel (strong proficiency required)
- Bluebeam
- On-Screen Takeoff–type software
- Building Connected or similar (training provided)
- 3–5+ years of commercial construction (and DOD) estimating experience
- Ground-up vertical construction background
- Strong understanding of GC trade scopes
- Comfortable owning bids and working in a team environment
- Design-Build experience preferred
- Federal/DOD experience helpful but not required
