Safety Supervisor - VSL - Chesapeake, VA

• Mentors, coaches, and evaluates safety employees, providing feedback and performance assessments.
• Develops, organizes, and implements site‑specific safety initiatives consistent with LaneA's standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts and documents jobsite inspections and audits, with emphasis on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and corrective actions.
• Leads safety orientations, meetings, and training programs to ensure effective communication across project teams and subcontractors.
• Reviews Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for major phases of work to confirm appropriate controls are in place.
• Participates in regulatory inspections and investigations to ensure project compliance with federal, state, and client requirements.
• Maintains communication with the corporate insurance department regarding asset losses, incident documentation, and workers' compensation claims.
• Supports incident investigations and assist in tracking corrective actions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree

• CHST, ASP

• 3 years of safety leadership experience
• 1 year of experience in heavy civil construction
