Role Overview :

As a Construction Estimator at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring adherence to budget guidelines. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to provide critical financial insights that contribute to the overall success of our marine construction projects. Whether you work on‑site in Chesapeake, Virginia, you’ll have the opportunity to influence our projects from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for marine construction projects.

Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop an accurate cost analysis.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.

Evaluate project costs and communicate updates to project managers.

Assist in evaluating tender documents, risk management, and overall project feasibility.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the marine or construction industry.

Strong understanding of construction processes and cost control.

Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Experience with HCSS and P6 Software.

Bonus If You:

Have a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Possess relevant certifications such as Professional Estimator (PE) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP).

Experience working with marine construction projects.

This position is Full‑Time, available Monday through Friday.

Location:

This position is on‑site only in Chesapeake, Virginia.
