The selected Electrical Superintendent will be a key addition to the heavy industrial team for projects valued at $2M-$40M in electrical scope. The first assigned project will run through September 2029. Prior experience representing the Electrical Contractor on medium voltage projects over 600V including wastewater treatment plants (or similar) is required for serious consideration.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing multiple foremen and affiliated crews on 100 acre project site
- Responsible for safe installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment.
- Working closely with project management team on material and equipment buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking.
- Proactively identifying and escalating issues that could impact the established project budget and timeline.
- Holding meetings onsite with key stakeholders and personnel to provide progress reports.
- Delegating tasks effectively and holding others accountable to achieve project milestones.
- Keeping schedules updated ensuring proper allocation of labor and equipment resources.
- Helping to enforce the site safety and QC plans.
- Helping to mentor and develop confidence in field personnel.
- Proactively identify training gaps with personnel, ensuring that they gain access to proper resources and supplemental training to maximize career growth potential.
- Performing annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel.
- 8+ years of field leadership experience on construction projects of similar size and scope
- Masters or Journeyman card with completion of an accredited apprenticeship
- Complete understanding of project design, drawings, specs, and installation requirements
- Prior experience representing the Electrical Contractor on WWTP and/or facilities construction
- Prior experience with electrical projects $2M-$40M+
- Prior experience updating project schedules and creating look aheads
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective people management skills including the ability to delegate
- Understanding of construction and labor scheduling and cost control
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines to ensure that project milestones are achieved
- Ability to perform takeoffs and pricing for change orders
- OSHA 30
- Salary 130-180k (based on experience and certifications)
