Benefits Call Center Representative

We are seeking dependable and customer‑focused individuals to join our team as a Benefits Call Center Representative. In this role, you will handle a high volume of inbound calls from new and existing members regarding their benefit plans. This is a fast‑paced call center environment where strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

$17.00 per hour, which may be below your state’s minimum wage. Please take this into consideration when applying.

Flexible between Monday‑Friday 8 am‑8 pm EST.

Full‑time in‑office role located in Chesapeake, VA.

6 weeks paid training – Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5:30 pm EST.

• Answer a high volume of inbound calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist members with questions related to benefit plans.
• Update account information, including direct deposit details.
• Navigate multiple systems while accurately documenting interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

• Must have a high school diploma/GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Customer service and/or call center experience with employer benefits or healthcare field is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems and dual screens.
• Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to solve problems through analysis and provide feedback.
• Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift between 8 am‑8:30 pm EST, Monday‑Friday.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries and co‑workers.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
