Solid-works Designer / Developer

Summary:

Create 3D assembly designs using Solid-works modeling software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop sheet metal parts and assemblies using various methods, such as: 2D technical drawings, replicating existing parts, and creating items from photos, verbal directions, hand sketches, etc.

* Wear all required PPE when working in the shop areas.

* Read and interpret technical drawings.

* Able to withstand environmental factors such as:

* Outside weather conditions

* High, precarious places

* Exposed to fumes and airborne particles

* Very loud noise level

* Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.

* Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs

* Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:

* Stooping

* Bending

* Squatting

* Climbing

* Crawling

* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

* Strong computer skills using various Microsoft and Graphic Art applications such as:
Word, Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.

* Minimum 1 year experience using Solid-works in the workplace or highly proficient in the development of sheet metal parts using Solid-works.

* Some CAD experience working with 2D type drawings (.DXF and .DWG file types).

* Project management experience with demonstrated ownership of projects from concept through completion is a plus

Other Requirements:

* Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability Screening.
