Overview
Solid-works Designer / Developer
Summary:
Create 3D assembly designs using Solid-works modeling software.
- Develop sheet metal parts and assemblies using methods such as 2D technical drawings, replicating existing parts, and creating items from photos, verbal directions, or hand sketches.
- Wear all required PPE when working in the shop areas.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Be able to withstand environmental factors such as outside weather conditions, high, precarious places, exposure to fumes and airborne particles, and very loud noise levels.
- Regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
- Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as stooping, bending, squatting, climbing, and crawling.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft and graphic art applications such as Word, Excel, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Solid Works in the workplace or high proficiency in developing sheet metal parts with Solid Works.
- Some CAD experience working with 2D drawings (.DXF and .DWG file types).
- Project management experience with demonstrated ownership of projects from concept through completion is a plus.
- Must be able to pass Drug Screening and Work Ability Screening.
