Position Summary
Branch Civil is searching foraGPS Modelerto join our well-established, growing company.
The GPS Modeler role compiles, manipulates, and analyzes data and plans to create 3D models for machine control field operations. This requires proficientplanreading, CADexperience, and some engineering analysis, specifically with earth moving.
Analyze information from contract drawings, specifications, and field surveys.
Create reports, maps, applications, and visualizations conveying the results of spatial analyses.
Utilize various CAD platforms including but not limited to AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble Business Centerand Micro Station.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of 3D models to support efficient and effective construction operations.
Identify conflicts and resolves ambiguity in the engineer/owner's design.
Work with Project Engineers and Project Managers related to troubleshooting and generate plans addressing inconsistencies.
Manage and transfer files to projects using several software platforms including but not limited to Trimble Works Manager, Trimble Stratus and Topcon Mobi Control.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
High School diploma or equivalency.
2-3 years construction survey experience
Knowledge of Trimble and/or Topcon GPS equipment.
Salary Min: $58,012.50
Salary Max: $99,480
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

The position requires intermittent travel and overnight lodging.

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
