Hematology/Oncology Physician Opportunity - Virginia
A well-established cancer institute is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide ongoing locum coverage. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care, a weekday-only schedule, and no call responsibilities.
Compensation:
Open rates. Overtime: $525/hr

Level III Trauma Center
Patient Population
Adult and Geriatric patients
Approximately:
70% Oncology
30% Hematology
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage hematology and oncology patients
New patient consultations and follow-up visits
Develop and oversee treatment plans
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Provide both clinic-based and hospital-based patient care
Patient Volume
Outpatient Clinic
Approximately 12-25 patients per day
Inpatient Consults/Rounding
Approximately 2-8 patients per day
Practice Support
One physician currently in practice
No Advanced Practice Provider support
EMR:
Epic
Qualifications
Required
Board Certified in Medical Oncology
Active Virginia Medical License
BLS Certification
Highly Preferred
Board Certified in Hematology
Additional Requirements
Professional liability coverage meeting Virginia statutory requirements may be required upon request
