• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement in SV required
• Trained in or willing to be trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
• Proven successful experience in working with students with disabilities
• Proficiency in developing instructional behavior plans including positive behavior supports in appropriate social and classroom settings
• Must demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding in consistent use of data to monitor student growth, inform instruction, and develop interventions

• Develop and implement IEPs for caseload students
• Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals
• Provide direct instruction across general and special education settings
• Collaborate with general education, special education team colleagues and team members, administrators and parents to meet the needs of students
• Modify the general education curriculum for students with IEPs based upon Instructional techniques
• Maintain special education records in all areas of special education compliance
• Establish and maintain an effective and cooperative working relationship with all staff, students, and parents
• Complete monthly required Medicaid billing
• Adapt instructional and social-emotional materials to meet the needs of students
• Direct and support Para Educator staff
