The Role & Schedule
  • We are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4–11.
  • Kid Strong Camp Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from a designed camp curriculum.
  • Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp.
  • Camps typically run when school is out, from 9 am – 2:30 pm (may vary depending on locations); the ideal candidate will be available during those hours.
  • Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours & Kid Strong Class coaching – may require additional training.
Coach Responsibilities
  • Camp sizes of up to 30 children, ages ranging from 4 – 11.
  • Teach the Kid Strong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
  • Must be able to ensure camp both starts and ends on schedule and follows the appropriate pace of the curriculum.
  • Greet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to camp.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp.
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
  • Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors – this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift.
  • Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.).
  • Communicate professionally with co‑workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
  • Complete training through Learn Upon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment – coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
  • Must be comfortable working "hands‑on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by Kid Strong Director.
  • Must obtain camp‑certified status from the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring the well‑being of all children.
Job Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate Kid Strong age is preferred.
  • CPR certification is a plus.
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter who just gets a job done.

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
