Overview
Electronics Technician Maintenance II – support the US Navy. Join GDIT to contribute to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.
Responsibilities- Perform complex technical functions in support of engineering activities including set up, operations, maintenance, modifications, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro‑mechanical components and systems.
- Repair or modify cables and equipment returned by operational users or laboratory personnel.
- Build, repair or modify complex cables and be proficient with through hole and surface mount components.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Conduct complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in research work.
- Diagnose and isolate equipment and system malfunctions that fail to respond to standard corrective measures.
- Assist in the development of electronic equipment and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
- Use engineered drawings, statements of work, and technical manuals to determine requirements for cable systems.
- Prepare and install distribution equipment and terminate tip cables on main distribution frames.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related experience in US Navy electronics.
- IPC certification is a plus.
