• Perform complex technical functions in support of engineering activities including set up, operations, maintenance, modifications, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro‑mechanical components and systems.
• Repair or modify cables and equipment returned by operational users or laboratory personnel.
• Build, repair or modify complex cables and be proficient with through hole and surface mount components.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Conduct complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in research work.
• Diagnose and isolate equipment and system malfunctions that fail to respond to standard corrective measures.
• Assist in the development of electronic equipment and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
• Use engineered drawings, statements of work, and technical manuals to determine requirements for cable systems.
• Prepare and install distribution equipment and terminate tip cables on main distribution frames.

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of related experience in US Navy electronics.
• IPC certification is a plus.
