Role Description

This full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Engineer role is based in Chesapeake, VA. The position involves leading mechanical engineering projects, including designing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for various facilities. Responsibilities include overseeing project teams, ensuring quality control, developing design documents, collaborating with clients, and managing project schedules and budgets. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also perform technical calculations, provide mentorship to junior staff, and stay updated on industry codes and standards to maintain project excellence.

Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in HVAC, mechanical systems design, and plumbing engineering
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership
  • Strong proficiency in technical analysis, calculations, and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Proficiency with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience in facilities, energy, or construction engineering is a plus
