Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry specifically for the pulp and paper industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000

Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder

• Independently design applicable products of client using 2D and 3D CAD systems
• Generate complete and accurate production drawings for internal and external manufacturing
• Manage the mechanical portion of projects from start to finish
• Lead and perform customer onsite measure-ups and gather technical requirements
• Coordinate with manufacturing personnel on jig, fixture, and manufacturability considerations

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical design
• Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets
• Solid understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing methods, and field installation considerations
