APC Intern

INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc. is looking for an APC Intern to join our team. INIT’s corporate North American headquarters is in Chesapeake, Virginia. The APC Intern will work on different mechanical and electrical engineer efforts in various tasks related to the Automatic Passenger Counting (APC) System in rail and bus passenger vehicles.
THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION, APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO THE CHESAPEAKE, VA OFFICE

• Assist with design reviews or problem solving on Automatic Passenger Counting subsystems.
• Spreadsheet and database (MS Excel and Access) development.
• Support for project and design review meetings; possibly at client locations.
• Test data collection at customer sites (travel will be required).
• Assists in the preparation of test plans, test scripts, technical manuals, training material, reports and procedures.
• Preparation of Demo systems.

• Pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant degree program from a higher education institution is required.
• Competent in critical thinking, problem solving, planning, organizing, decision making, communication, teamwork, and conflict management.
• Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and a quick learner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Location - This position is based out of our North American headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia.
