DCS Programmer
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year.
Location:
Virginia Beach, VA (preferred). Remote option for Mid‑Atlantic region.
Role: DCS Programmer – responsible for DCS configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and commissioning across multiple mill sites for pulp and paper operations.
Responsibilities- Design and develop DCS programming solutions for process control and automation in the pulp & paper sector.
- Implement and configure Foxboro and Delta
V systems to meet project specifications and industry standards. - Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate DCS with other plant systems.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in DCS technology and apply best practices in system programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DCS programming with preference for the pulp & paper industry.
- Proficiency with Foxboro.
- Proficiency with Delta
V control systems. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Legally entitled to work in the US.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (typically 5‑20 %).
