SkillBridge - Test Technician

Position Overview

Raytheon offers a Skill Bridge fellowship for a Test Technician located in Chesapeake, VA. The role is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship. No compensation or benefits are provided during the fellowship period.

• Conduct functional and performance testing on electronic and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test failures to the component level.
• Document test procedures and results accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
• Communicate work status effectively to team members and support staff.

• HS diploma or AA/AS degree (or equivalent 2‑year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a testing environment.
• Experience with testing equipment and software.
• Experience conducting tests and documenting results.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with engineering teams and documenting procedures.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Skill Bridge participants remain under the administrative control of their military chain of command and receive all military pay and benefits during the fellowship. The program generally lasts 40 days and concludes with an opportunity to apply for full‑time positions upon successful completion.
